Guided fishing trips on lakes of Iron County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in and around the Iron River area which is between Watersmeet and Iron Mountain as well as boundary waters of northern Wisconsin. Guided trips will target large and smallmouth bass as well as northern pike, practicing a very conservative catch and release philosophy. Trips should be booked in advanced to insure availability, and can take place from June through the first week of August.
My focus is on teaching techniques, bait selection, locating structure fish relate to, and providing my clients with fun and exciting day on the water. Dress appropriately for the day. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sun screen, water or sport drinks, snacks or a lunch, and clothing for possible changing weather conditions (rain suit and boots).
Trips on Sunset, Ottawa, Hagerman, Golden, Stanley, Emily, Long (off US 2), Indian, and Chicagon will be for 5 hours and can be scheduled for roughly 6am - 11am or 2pm - 7pm. The cost of a trip is $425 (all taxes incluced) for up 2 anglers (add $100 for a third angler).
Trips on Michigamme Reservoir, Peavy Pond, Lac Vieux, Twin Lake, Smokey, Long (WI near Phelps) or Metonga will be for 5 hours and can be scheduled for roughly 6am - 11am or 2pm - 7pm. The cost of a trip is $475 (all taxes incluced) for up 2 anglers (add $100 for a third angler).
A custom trip to another navigable inland lake for a similar time frame and number of anglers can be provided as well. Contact me for a quote. Current Lakeshore Motel guests can book a special hour-and-a-half early bird (5:00am-6:30am) or late evening (7:00pm-8:30pm) special on beautiful Ice Lake (dependent upon lake level and the ability to launch my boat at Lakeshore Motel).
All tackle and equipment will be provided. A valid/current Michigan fishing license is required for Michigan waters. A valid/current Wisconsin fishing license is require for Wisconsin waters. Please, no alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or firearms please. Use or possession of any will automatically result in the cancellation of your trip with no refund.
